I.Product Overview

VMIVME-3122 is a high-resolution,16-bit,64-channel analog scanning and digitizing input board produced by VMIC(now part of Abaco Systems)for VME bus system applications.It integrates dual-port data memory,onboard timer,automatic control gain and programmable bus interrupter,etc.,which can support a wide range of analog input traffic while minimizing the involvement of the host processor.

II.Main Features

High Resolution:

VMIVME-3122 has 16-bit digitizing resolution,providing excellent dynamic range and analog input channel density.

Multi-channel Input:

Supports 64 differential or single-ended analog inputs,can continuously digitize selected input channels and store results.

Programmable Gain:

Channel gain can be selected as x1 or x10 by software,and supports program-controlled gain.

Multiple Operation Modes:

Supports multiple operation modes such as automatic scanning,data burst and external synchronization.

High-performance conversion rate:

Selectable scan rate up to 100 kHz(high-performance option),or 50 kHz(standard performance option).

Flexible data buffer:

A dual-port data buffer with 16 to 1,024 words is provided to facilitate data storage and access.

Wide range of A/D converters:

A/D converter ranges are selectable as±2.5 V,±5 V,±10 V,0 to+5 V,0 to+10 V.

Simplified data monitoring:

Interval timer,bus interrupter,channel counter and mid-scan/end-scan flags simplify the monitoring of data in the dual-port data buffer.
