1.Product Overview
VMIVME-2510B belongs to VMIC’s Megamodule series,which is designed with universal programming functions.It is mainly used in industrial automation,control systems,embedded systems and other fields,and can provide reliable and efficient input and output functions,and support flexible address mapping and fault detection.
2.Main Features
Port Programming and Receiver Capability:
The direction of each 8-bit port can be programmed individually,which means that users can flexibly configure the input or output function of each port.
With a receiver capacity of 64mA(15mA source),it can handle larger current requirements.
Register Address Decoding:
The module has independent board address decoding functions for control registers and data registers,which is convenient for users to access and manage registers.
Fault Detection and Isolation:
The module has built-in test logic to support fault detection and isolation.When there is a fault on the board,the front panel fault LED will light up to indicate the fault status.
Specific hardware is designed to support built-in test functions and has the ability to detect and isolate faults offline and online.
I/O Connector and Data Transfer:
The module uses a high-reliability DIN type I/O connector to ensure stability and reliability in various industrial environments.

I/O Organization:Eight I/O ports,each eight bits wide.Addressable to any address within the short monitoring or short non-privileged I/O mapping.The eight ports are individually addressable on 8-bit or 16-bit boundaries.
Test Mode:
Address DIP switches provide unlimited short data I/O address mapping selection.
Output data can be read back in real-time or offline mode.
Offline mode is enabled by writing to the Control and Status Register(CSR)to set the test mode bit.When test mode is enabled,all outputs are in a TRI-STATE state.
Two test mode bits are provided to allow each connector I/O(32 bits)to be tested independently if necessary.
Fault LED:
The fault LED is illuminated at power-up and system reset.
Can be turned off under program control after successful diagnostics.
Transceiver:
The transceiver supports high current(64mA)outputs.
These octal bus transceivers use the SN74AS645 in the logic level TTL I/O option and the SN74AS641 transceiver in the open collector option.
If the open collector option is ordered,all 64 bits are output only.
