This module is designed to be installed on the same backplane as the control CPU module,and can transmit data bidirectionally between the two modules,which are the PCU and RIO drop modules located on different backplanes.

To interconnect the RIO head module,a coaxial cable network is used with at least one other RIO introduction module.

This module has 31 branches and can be used with Quantum 200 series,500 series,800 series or SY/MAX(any combination).

There are 64 in words/drop,64 out words/drop,and 2 ports/branch(up to 32 ports,i.e.16 branches).

Four LED indicators(ready,communication,error A and error B)are used to display the status of the module.
