I.Product Overview

MVI69-PDPMV1 is a Profibus master network module that is particularly compatible with Profibus decentralized peripherals(DP)version 1 industrial networks.It is a single-slot module that can be directly installed on the 1769 backplane for use with 1769 CompactLogix controllers.In addition,the module is also compatible with MicroLogix 1500 LRP controllers.

II.Product Features

Compatibility:

The MVI69-PDPMV1 module is compatible with all processors in the CompactLogix series,including L20/L23/L30/L31/L32/L35,L43 and L45.

The module also supports most MicroLogix 1500 LRP controllers.

Communication Capabilities:

The MVI69-PDPMV1 supports communication with up to 125 slave devices with or without ProfiBus repeaters.

It is capable of handling up to 1536 cyclic bytes of input as well as 1536 bytes of output data.

Supports extended diagnostic data(DPV1).

Hardware Configuration:

The module uses the CFG port as its primary interface and has bright LED indicators for operating elements such as module status,power status,application status,end-up and error status.

The connecting cables used with this module are RJ45 to DB-9 M and 6-foot RS-232 cables.

The backplane is rated for 800 mA and a maximum voltage of 5 volts DC.

Software Configuration and Diagnostics:

Configuration is available through ProSoft Configuration Builder software,which defines the PROFIBUS network and then downloads the configuration to the module through the PC’s serial port.

Supports project-specific GSD file import libraries for easy monitoring and modification of process data and DPV1 non-cyclic data.

Other features:

Equipped with a 9-pin Sub-D female connector,it supports standard Profibus transmission up to 12 Mbps.

Multiple Profibus masters can be installed in a single slot,allowing the host controller to communicate with various ProfiBus segments.

The consistency of the slave configuration with the processor is determined by a CRC checksum.

An accessory tool provided by the manufacturer can be used to help simplify hardware configuration and define data transmission for this module.

III.Environmental conditions

The environmental conditions for using this module include relative non-condensing humidity of 5 to 95%.

The operating temperature range is 0 to 60 degrees Celsius(32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit),and the storage temperature range is-40 to 85 degrees Celsius(-40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit).
