Processor:

The MVME162-213 can be equipped with a 25MHz or 32MHz MC68040 enhanced 32-bit microprocessor,which has 8KB cache and MMU(memory management unit)and FPU(floating-point unit).

Another option is the 25MHz MC68LC040 enhanced 32-bit microprocessor,which also has 8KB cache and MMU.

Memory and Storage:

The memory configuration can be selected as 1MB,4MB or 8MB of DRAM.

In terms of memory,512KB of SRAM(with battery backup)is provided to ensure that data will not be lost in the event of power failure.

I/O interface:

Two serial ports(EIA-232-D and EIA-232-D/EIA-530)are provided for serial communication with other devices.
