The IS200EGDMH1AFF GE exciter Field grounding detection module is designed to provide grounding detection and monitoring functions for GE exciters.It ensures the safe and proper operation of the exciter site by detecting any ground potential and alerting the operator to potential problems.
IS200EGDMH1AFF GE is an exciter field ground detection module,which is the functional abbreviation of EGDM.During installation,the module will be mounted on the driver power backplane rack and will be close to the EXSM module.The module runs on a single and redundant system,whereas a pure system requires one EGdm and a redundant system requires three EGdm modules.The two modules work together to determine the likelihood of a field ground leak occurring at any point on the DC or AC side.
When the EGDM module and DSPX module are connected through optical fiber cables,the EGDM module sends the used voltage to the DSPX module through optical fibers.After this process,the voltage is checked and an additional alarm is added by DSPX.There are three LED indicators on the panel.The three indexes in IS200EGDMH1AFF module are power index,active index and selective main index.
