IMHSS03 is a hydraulic servo module.The following is a detailed introduction to it:

I.Main features and functions

Intelligent module:IMHSS03 is an intelligent I/O module with an on-board microprocessor,memory and communication circuit.

Valve position control:It is a valve position control module in the ABB Symphony control system,mainly used to control the speed of the steam turbine.

Automatic adjustment:IMHSS03 can automatically adjust the demodulator gain to provide a more optimized response.

Connection function:The HSS module connects the controller with the servo valve or I/H converter to provide manual or automatic control of the hydraulic actuator.

Redundant design:It has a redundant LVDT interface and can handle AC or DC LVDT transformers to provide higher reliability.

II.Typical applications

Typical applications of IMHSS03 include providing position control for steam turbine throttling and control valves,gas turbine fuel valves,inlet guide vanes and nozzle angles.By adjusting the current of the servo valve,the module can set an actuator to control the speed of the steam turbine.

4.Working Principle

Position control:The microprocessor receives relay position commands from the controller,reads position feedback information,sets targets for output,and directly controls the servo valve or I/H converter to adjust the position of the actuator.

Manual control:When controller communication is lost,the operator can manually change the actuator position through the manual control loop.The HSS module provides two 24VDC isolated digital inputs as raise/lower commands from the manual station.

Self-test function:The microprocessor is also responsible for performing self-tests to ensure the normal operation of the module.
