Integrated Architecture:

M4U’S integrated architecture uses a dedicated servo processor on the controller board to provide real-time servo control of each axis,including position,speed,current servo loops and sinusoidal communications.

Bus Compatibility:

It is a Genius bus controller manufactured by GE Automation and Control,and is compatible with 90-70 series or PACSystems RX7i systems.

Device Connection:

Ability to connect up to 31 additional devices on a single Genius communication bus,occupying one slot on the PLC backplane.

Through the Genius bus,it is compatible with many types of devices,including Genius I/O modules,various other programmable logic controllers,remote substations of 90-70 series systems,Versamax I/O stations,field control stations,and several other host devices that require datagrams and global data for communication.

Communication Rate:

With the maximum number of devices connected to the Genius bus,the communication channel rate is measured at 153.6 kbaud.The maximum bus length supported is 7500 feet(about 2286 meters),but the communication rate will decrease as the bus length increases.

Function Support:

Selected features include I/O diagnostics,support for redundant systems,datagram and global data transmission,connection port for portable monitors,and serial interface port.
