1.System Overview

The BENTLY 3500/53 electronic overspeed detection system is a highly reliable,fast-response redundant tachometer system dedicated to mechanical overspeed protection.The system complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s standards 670 and 612 on overspeed protection,and can provide accurate and stable overspeed detection functions to ensure the safe operation of mechanical equipment.

2.Technical Specifications

Input Signal:

Each overspeed detection module receives a signal from an eddy current sensor or magnetic sensor.

The input signal range is+10.0V to-24.0V,and signals outside this range are limited within the module.

Input impedance:20kΩ.

Power consumption:typically 8.0W.

Sensors:

Supports Bently Nevada 3300 8mm eddy current sensor,3300 16mm high temperature eddy current sensor(HTPS),7200 5mm,8mm,11mm and 14mm eddy current sensor,3300 RAM eddy current sensor,or magnetic sensor.

Alarm settings:

Set danger(overspeed)set points,which are set by software configuration.

Alarm points are adjustable and usually adjust from 0 to 100%of full scale.

Alarm time delay:less than 30ms at frequencies above 300Hz.

Outputs:

Each module has a coaxial connector on the front for buffered outputs,each connector is short-circuit and electrostatic discharge(ESD)protected.

Output impedance is 550Ω.

Sensor power is 24Vdc,maximum 40mA.

Recorder output is+4 to+20mA,and the output value is proportional to the module full scale range(rpm).
