ABB SPAD346C stable three-phase differential relay provides winding short-circuit and turn-to-turn fault protection for two-winding transformers and generator-transformer devices,and winding short-circuit protection for generators.It is designed to meet the needs of various industrial application scenarios and ensure the stable operation of power systems.

2.Main functions and technical features

Differential protection:

Ground fault protection is provided for high-voltage and low-voltage windings of transformers based on the principle of stable differential current,high impedance principle,calculation or measurement of residual current principle or neutral point current principle.

The operating characteristics of the differential relay can be easily adapted to different applications,with short operating time and stable operation even when the current transformer is partially saturated.

Overcurrent and ground fault protection:

Three-level overcurrent protection is provided for transformers and generators,as well as two-level backup protection for ground fault protection.

The ground fault relay module can provide protection for the high-voltage and low-voltage sides of the transformer according to the selected principle.

Harmonic suppression:

Blocking based on the ratio of the second harmonic and fundamental components of the differential current prevents unnecessary operation during transformer surge current.

Blocking based on the ratio of the fifth harmonic and fundamental components of the differential current prevents operation during harmless transformer overexcitation.This blocking state can be eliminated if the ratio of the fifth harmonic and fundamental components increases at high overvoltage.

Digital vector group matching and CT ratio correction:

No transformer is required for dual-winding transformer protection,and the digital vector group matching CT ratio correction range on the high-voltage and low-voltage sides is wide,and accurate correction is achieved through digital settings.

Display and output:

Sensitive phase current and phase angle display facilitates checking of the measurement circuit.

Four trip and four signal relay outputs are provided,as well as five programmable external control inputs for displaying and forwarding alarm and trip signals of gas relays,oil temperature sensors and other transformer auxiliary equipment sensors.

Anti-interference and reliability:

Integrated interference recorder records current and digital signals,with optional trigger signals.
