The PM8911 processor is a single-chip unit equipped with a power supply,power board,and terminals.This unit includes a microprocessor and RAM memory,real-time clock,LED indicator,input button,and secure digital interface.PM891 does not contain any internal batteries,and it has two RJ45 Ethernet ports(cn1,cn2)and one RJ45 serial port(COM4)for connecting to the control network.The C4 port is isolated and used for configuration tools.PM891 supports higher availability CPU redundancy(CPU,CexBUS,communication interface,and S800 I/O).
The communication extension bus(CexBUS)is installed on this unit.CexBUS is used to expand airborne communication ports with communication interface units.It is possible to use redundant communication interfaces.The CexBUS interconnect unit BC810 is used to increase the availability of CexBUS by dividing it into separate parts.The optical module of this device can be used to connect a cluster of 7 S800 I/O units(each unit can contain up to 12 units).Each PM891 provides a unique Ethernet address to provide hardware identification for the unit.
