The 3500/25 Enhanced Keyphasor Module is a half height dual channel module used to provide keyphasor signals to monitor modules in a 3500 rack.The module receives input signals from proximity probes or magnetic pickups and converts the signals into digital keyphasor signals to indicate when the keyphasor markings on the shaft coincide with the keyphasor sensor.The 3500 mechanical protection system can accept up to four keyphasor signals in normal configuration and up to eight keyphasor signals in paired configuration.

The keyphasor signal is a pulse per revolution or multiple pulses per revolution from a rotating shaft or gear,used to provide precise timing measurements.This allows the 3500 monitoring module and external diagnostic equipment to measure shaft speed and vector parameters,such as 1X amplitude and phase.
The Enhanced Keyphasor Module is an improved 3500 system module.Compared to previous designs,it provides extended key signal processing capabilities while maintaining complete downward compatibility with existing key phase modules used in traditional systems in terms of form,fit,and functionality.The phaser module PWA 125792-01 has been completely replaced by the updated 149369-01 module.
When three module redundant(TMR)applications require system Keyphasor inputs,the 3500 system should use two Keyphasor modules.In this configuration,the modules work in parallel,providing primary and secondary key signals to other modules in the rack.
Systems with four or more keyphasor inputs can use paired configurations,provided that there are no more than four
The main input signal of the keyphasor.Paired configuration requires two consecutive monitoring positions on top/bottom or two and a half slot positions.The four Keyphasor modules will accept four main input channels and four backup input channels,and provide four output channels(one for each module).It is also possible to configure two pairs and one non pair(for a total of three keyphasor modules).In the configuration,users can configure an unpaired keyphasor(order two 2-channel or one 1-channel and one 2-channel option)
The isolated phase shifter input/output module is designed for applications where the phase shifter signal is connected in parallel with multiple devices and requires isolation from other systems,such as control systems.The isolated input/output module is specifically designed for magnetic pickup applications,but is compatible with Proximitor*applications and will provide isolation when external power is provided.
The main purpose of this I/O module is to measure shaft speed,not phase.This module can provide phase measurement,but the phase shift introduced by this I/O is slightly higher than the non isolated I/O version.Figure 1 shows the increased phase shift of the isolated I/O module at different machine speeds.
Enhanced product features include generating event signals from multiple event inputs,on-site upgradeable firmware,and asset management data reports.
This module adopts a modular design,which is easy to install and maintain.There are two LED indicators on the front panel of the module to indicate the power and status of the module.There are two connectors on the back panel of the module,which are used to connect the keyphase sensor and the monitor module.
