About 1794-IE8XOE4
The Allen-Bradley 1794-IE8XOE4 module is a high-density FLEX I/O module. It is designed as an analog module that is meant to be part of a modular system that is meant to perform the same applications as rack-based I/O and distributed I/O. In a complete FLEX I/O modular system, the 1794-IE8XOE4 analog I/O module connects to a terminal base and an adapter or power supply. The 1794-IE8XOE4 I/O module contains the system’s bus interface as well as the circuitry that the system needs to perform all the required application problems. Because this module is an analog FLEX I/O module, the users can adjust its voltage between 0 and 10 Volts DC and its current between 0 and 20 mA.
The Allen-Bradley 1794-IE8XOE4 analog high-density FLEX I/O module comes with 8 single-ended and non-isolated inputs and 4 single-ended and non-isolated outputs for communication. Its regular nominal voltage is 24 Volts DC. This FLEX I/O module can communicate with programmable controllers through BTW and BTR instructions. The BTW or Block Transfer Write instructions are used to transfer data from the programmable controller to the module, and the BTR or Block Transfer Read instructions are used to transfer data the other way around from the module to the programmable controller. Both sets of instructions allow the controller to obtain status updates and input values from the I/O module and they allow the I/O module to have its operating mode programmed by the controller. The users can tell if the 1794-IE8XOE4 module is powered on or off by looking at the power indicator light on the front panel.
