About 1788-CNC

The Allen-Bradley 1788-CNC ControlNet daughter card is a ControlNet communication card in the Allen-Bradley Logix 5000 Control systems that is used for linking FlexLogix controllers, PowerFlex 700S controllers, and DriveLogix controllers to devices connected on the ControlNet network for easy monitoring and for the control of remotely located I/O modules on the ControlNet network. The 1788-CNC daughter card is a versatile communication card that supports I/O bridge functionality, the transfer of data via tags, communication with other ControlNet nodes, communication through NAP (Network Access Port), the use of 200-micron cables for connection to a network, and a redundant media module.

The 1788-CNC daughter card has a 5 Volts DC voltage requirement at 450 milliAmps, and a maximum power consumption rating of 2.25 Watts. It has an open type of enclosure and a maximum heat dissipation of 2.25 Watts (7.68 BTU per hour). The 1788-CNC daughter card can be installed easily while the host device is powered down, and it connects to a ControlNet network via a 200-micron cable with V-pin connectors. This communication card comes with status indicators (the I/O status indicator, Module status indicator, and the Network channel status indicators) that provides operational information about the card and network performance when connected. The 1788-CNC daughter card has an operating temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit), and it can be stored anywhere with a temperature range of  -40 to 85 degrees Celsius (-40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit) range. It is designed for use with a humidity level of 5 to 95%, non-condensing, and it can withstand up to 30 G of operational shock. The 1788-CNC daughter card is c-UR-us, CSA, CE, and C-TICK certified, and it weighs approximately 0.1 kilogram.
