Product Description:
The 1771-ACN A-B ControlNet adapter module is a high-speed,reliable,durable,easy-to-use,and powerful module that can connect the 1771 I/O module to the ControlNet network. This module can meet different application requirements and is widely used in various industrial control fields.
The 1771-ACN module is a ControlNet adapter module. This adapter module is manufactured by Allen Bradley and belongs to the PLC 5 series. The 1771-ACN ControlNet adapter module is a key component of a complete and fully functional programmable controller system. This module has a status display screen,a NAP or network access port,a reset button, and a ControlNet connector. The 1771-ACN ControlNet adapter module can be used in conjunction with a 32 channel I/O module.
Allen Bradley 1771-ACN is a communication module used to control 1771 remote I/O on the ControlNet network. This special network allows Allen Bradley products to communicate with certified third-party products.1771-ACN is compatible with PLC-5/20C and PLC-5/40C processors.1771-ACN is similar to 1771-ACNR in that they both have a status display, network access port(NAP),ControlNet status indicator light, module network address switch component located at the top of the module, and communication reset button. The difference is that there is only one ControlNet connector-1771-ACN,but there are two on 1771-ACNR.
Installing this ControlNet adapter module requires a 5V DC backplane current of 1.0A.When installing, the module needs to be located in the leftmost slot of the I/O chassis. This is because the backplane connector is designed to accept only one type of module. The keyband also needs to be located between 54 and 56 on the upper connector and between 16 and 18 on the lower connector. When inserting or removing the key, make sure to use only your fingers and ensure that the key is in the correct position. After installation, you can use a tap to connect 1771-ACN to the ControlNet network. It is important to use only Allen Bradley taps to avoid problems. With the help of 1771-ACN,users can expect high-speed transmission of time critical and non time critical data(discrete or non discrete),local communication network access through network access ports(NAPs),and diagnostic messages.
The 1771-ACN A-B ControlNet adapter module is a metal module with one RJ-45 connector and one 1771 I/O slot. The RJ-45 connector is used to connect to the ControlNet network, and the 1771 I/O slot is used to connect to the 1771 I/O module. The module also has LED indicator lights to indicate the module status.
