IS200EGDMH1AFF GE Exciter Field Ground Detection Module
The IS200EGDMH1AFF GE Excitation Field Ground Detection Module is an excitation ground detector module manufactured and designed by GE General Electric, belonging to the EX2100 excitation controller series. The following is specific information about this module:
Function Description:This module is used to measure the magnetic field resistance between any point in the generator excitation circuit and the ground, whether it is on the AC or DC side.
Installation and configuration:It is installed as a dual slot, dual height(6U)external board(EPBP)in the exciter power backplane rack.On a simplex system,an EGDM module is required; On redundant systems, three EGDM modules are required.
Communication and interaction:In order to communicate with EGDM,EXAM(attenuator module)is used to measure the voltage across the grounded sensing resistor.DSPX transmits data to EGDM C through EISB in the controller rack. When C receives this data through the fiber optic link,it will power or empower the relays in the attenuator module based on whether M2 is the selected driver or M1 is the selected main device.
