MVI69-MCM is a Modbus master/slave network interface module produced by ProSoft Technology.The following is a detailed introduction to it:

1.Product Overview

The MVI69-MCM module enables Rockwell Automation®CompactLogix™programmable automation controllers(PACs)and MicroLogix™1769-LRP programmable logic controllers(PLCs)to connect to Modbus-compatible devices.These compatible devices include not only Modicon®PLCs,but also a wide variety of third-party devices.

2.Product Features

Communication Capability:

Supports the predetermined communication rate in the standard specification,and supports manual setting of all standard rates or rate adaptation(all electrical interface rates are consistent)by dip switches.

Supports Modbus RTU and Modbus ASCII protocol versions,as well as floating-point data movement,including support for Enron,Daniel®and other protocol implementations.

Hardware Design:

Equipped with 6 dual-color LED status indicators and power failure relay output alarm.

It has 4000V lightning protection,1.5A overcurrent and 600W surge protection functions,meets industrial-grade design standards,and has passed EMC test certification.

It adopts DC9-36V wide redundant dual power supply design,with DC1500V power isolation and reverse connection protection functions.

IP30 protection level,corrugated aluminum reinforced housing,and standard industrial 35mm rail installation method.

Data interface:

9-pin Sub-D jack connector,the pin definition complies with the Profibus DP protocol specification and supports the Profibus DP bus standard.

Communication rates include 9.6kBit/s,19.2kBit/s,45.45kBit/s and other rate options.

Software configuration:

Comes with ProSoft Configuration Builder software,providing a graphical drag-and-drop configuration tool to make module configuration easier.

The software includes a simple and easy-to-use diagnostic window,providing menu-driven hardware and protocol diagnostic functions.

Other Features:

Manufactured under license from Rockwell Automation,it enables high-speed data transfer between MVI69 modules and CompactLogix/MicroLogix processors.

Installs as a generic 1769 module with ladder logic examples,and module data and status can be viewed in RSLogix 5000 controller tags and UDTs.
