The Bently Nevada 3500/60 and 3500/61 series temperature monitor modules provide six temperature monitoring channels and accept temperature inputs from resistance temperature detectors(RTDs)and thermocouples(TC).These modules regulate these inputs and compare them with user programmable alarm setpoints.3500/60 and 3500/61 provide the same functionality,except that 3500/61 provides recorder output for each of its six channels,while 3500/60 does not.
Users use 3500 rack configuration software to program modules for performing RTD or TC temperature measurements.Different I/O modules have either RTD/TC non isolated or TC isolated versions.Users can configure the non isolated version of RTD/TC to accept TC or RTD,or a mixture of TC and RTD inputs.The TC isolation version provides 250 Vdc channel to channel isolation to prevent external interference.
When used in Triple Modular Redundancy(TMR)configuration,temperature monitors must be installed adjacent to each other in groups of three.When used in this configuration,the system uses two types of voting to ensure accurate operation and avoid single points of failure.
The 3500/61 temperature monitor module is a four channel module used to monitor the temperature of rotating machinery.The module receives input signals from thermocouples or resistance temperature detectors(RTDs),performs filtering,amplification,digitization,and other processing,and then outputs the digital signals to the monitor module in the 3500 rack.When the temperature exceeds the set value,the module will issue an alarm signal and can trigger a protection action,
This module adopts a modular design,which is easy to install and maintain.Four LED indicators on the front panel of the module are used to indicate the signal status of each channel.There are two connectors on the back panel of the module,which are used to connect the temperature sensor and monitor module.
