Allen Bradley 1746-IB16 is an SLC500 module with sixteen(16)discrete drain input channels.It has one(1)set of input channels,with a nominal signal voltage of 24VDC and a working voltage range of 10-30VDC.It is compatible with any SLC500 chassis.
Allen Bradley 1746-IB16 is a medium density DC input module used to connect with signal devices,providing a signal voltage range of 10-30VDC to each input channel of the module.This module has sixteen(16)input channels with a rated input voltage of 24VDC,divided into one(1)input group,and has a single common terminal.This input module is installed on any available I/O slot in the 1746 chassis and consumes 0.05 A of backplane current at 5VDC.
1746-IB16 only supports sinking wiring configurations.It is used to connect electrical components,such as switches,including limit,proximity,button devices,as well as auxiliary contacts for relays,contactors,and other electronic devices.Each input channel of 1746-IB16 exhibits a common signal delay duration of 8 ms during opening and closing transitions,with a maximum off state voltage of 5 VDC and a maximum off state current of 1 mA,while the nominal input current of the module is 8 mA and 24 VDC.
The number of installation instances for 1746-IB16 varies depending on the installed SLC500 CPU.It depends on the number of I/O supported by the CPU memory.This module can also be installed locally along the rack or distributed I/O chassis where the SLC 500 CPU is installed,as well as 1746 communication adapters(such as remote I/O(RIO)and Ethernet adapter modules).This module is equipped with status LED indicator lights,which can indicate the startup status of each input channel to simplify monitoring and troubleshooting.It also has detachable terminal blocks for easy termination and module replacement.
