　　The 45UV5-1101 FIREYE scanner is a versatile flame scanner with high reliability.It uses an ultraviolet(UV)sensor to detect the presence or absence of a flame.The scanner supports a variety of flame types,such as natural gas,propane,kerosene,and more.

　　The 45UV5 scanner is a self-checking,flame sensing device.When powered by a compatible self-checking Fireye control,the scanner detects the presence of a flame emitting ultraviolet light(UV).Typical fossil fuels that emit ultraviolet light include natural gas,propane,methane,butane,kerosene,light petroleum distillates,and diesel fuels.For burners that burn steam atomizing oil or pulverized coal,Fireye recommends using an infrared(IR)scanner.Fireye offers a complete line of infrared scanners best suited for these applications.
